For many, the ocean seems as alien as a distant planet – a planet where we cannot breathe and where we could meet a diversity of unbelievably strange creatures – creatures that could not possibly live in our world any more than we could live in theirs.

And yet, there are a few unique animals who are able to travel between these vastly different worlds of land and sea – and the most fascinating of them all are sea turtles.

These remarkable creatures will traverse thousands of kilometers of open ocean for as long as 50 years and then, from half a world away, migrate, with mysterious precision, back to the very beach where they were born – to lay the eggs that are the foundation of the next generation. And so, this ancient cycle continues.

With the turtles guiding us, our crews voyaged the same thousands of kilometers to capture the wonders of their habitats. Encountering all kinds of strange and compelling creatures from enormous breaching whales to the coral wonderland of the Great Barrier Reef – all have been recorded with the magic of 3D – so that playful sea lions, tiny sea horses and vibrant clown fish will float right out into the theatre. Sea turtles remind us just how interconnected we all are in this amazing world and audiences will be moved to cherish it even more.

Available in 2D and 3D, 15/70, DCI-compliant Digital, IMAX Digital, IMAX Laser and Dome-customized 15/70.
